
From inactive to active, resting blood pressure lowered, weight loss, fitter and healthier, Dorothy has done amazing on our Active Lives programme.
Here she is to tell you more,
“I saw a poster and thought that can help me to get back into getting fit again. I wanted to become more active and do something to give me some more me space.
I wasn’t doing any exercise before starting the programme. However, since doing the programme I am a lot healthier, I am fitter, I now use the gym and classes 2 days a week.”
Dorothy said her favourite part about the programme was accessing the gym and Zumba gold classes. She described the support off the team as “Very good, my coach gave me a plan to follow in the gym. My coach and the other staff helped keep me motivated.”
Holly, Dorothy’s coach said “Dorothy has done really well with the programme and has come in and just got on with her plan. She has been very motivated to keep fit and attend the centre on a regular basis.
She has done amazing in the gym, coming on her own during the week with very little extra support required. She has also been able to lose weight, increase her physical activity time, from being inactive to active. Also managing to lower her resting blood pressure from 157/73 to 115/61. Well done Dorothy.”
