Why’s it so hard to be healthy?
Eating the wrong things, drinking more than we should, not being as active as we should be…modern life has meant what we do from day to day has changed. So much so that by the time we reach our 40s and 50s, many of us will have a much greater chance of being ill in later life.
But there’s still time to change our lifestyles, make better choices and help prevent Type 2 diabetes, cancer and heart disease, as well as reducing our risk of suffering a stroke or living with dementia, disability and frailty as we get older. And if you live in Cheshire East, we’re here to help you.
Help on your doorstep
One You Cheshire East is part of a national health initiative supported by Cheshire East Council, along with Peaks & Plains Housing Trust. Together, we’re committed to helping make it as easy as possible for local people to live better, healthier and longer.
So we’ve put together loads of useful tips, advice and tools to give you all the support you need, and also enlisted the help of a few other organisations including community and specialist groups.
